Henry, Simon: " Selim does need a sail"
Hang on guys, I am still learning how to paddle, you guys are asking me to run before I can walk :).
I feel it was a great day for both Henry and I, both of us kept dry for the day. Henry has no weak points in his sail setup and I can stay upright in confused seas... I mean lakes :). What a wonderful day, it went 30+ nuts :)
Many Thanks for the paddle and the video Henry.
Selim.
Phil... let me know when your putting your 4 sq meter sail on... I just want to watch :-)
Simon... Selim does need a sail, he would have enjoyed the day a bit more. Although it looked like he was totally absorbed in what he was doing... staying upright.
Owen... The sail supprised me... I would have thought somthing had to break. But nothing did. However, I tried to reef in the sail a bit but nearly impossible with the pressure on the sail... need a winch hey!
With the hand held camera...bracing is done with the knees and a few prayers.

Henry, Loved those hi-speed gybes; must put a bit of impact loading on your stay anchoring points. Looks like you were only using rudder for steerage (?) Wonderful, controlable boats those Mirages!

Good one Henry.
Selim needs a sail - when will that purchase be made Selim?
I was able to bust out my sail today on the Hunter River, not sure if I got up to your speeds but it was a fun ride. The trip back was a killer though.

Very nice Henry
Don't post too many of these sailing videos - I have a few 4m sailboard sails that are looking good for the 580. Its getting tempting.
