Now Brad are you having a day off this week and able to get in a paddle. You always seem to be a bit late advertising for partners so see if you can get your hands on the roster early. Everyone else is also welcome of course. Don't know where do...

G'day Bill,

I think I'll be taking the place of slowest paddler from now on (my Kodiak is like a big mango walrus). My work week is Mon-Fri so unless I plan annual leave (which I can do so when you guys have training or trips planned), I'll be restricted to weekends only. Thanks for the kind welcome.

Hi Bill, Thanks for making contact. I have recently purchased a Mirage 580. The boat is better than the paddler. Working on it though. Live on Dora Creek so have been paddling most night. The wind was a killer on the weekend. Cheers Bruce

Thanks for the good wishes Bill and Carolyn. Baby is due in February and will be introduced to kayak life shortly after that I am sure.

Yes, your definitely to blame. I'm going to blame you for the return trip that might happen as well.

I am sure some of us would love to do some of these trips and now that we are building our numbers we are exploring further afield all the time. Just make a date when you might be able to come up and see who else puts up their hand. I am off to Jervis Bay tomorrow for some paddling down there for a week.

Talk to all when I get back

Cheers

Bill

No family there any longer. My uncle lived in the family home in Nelson Bay for years and unfortunately for us re married just before he died. His new wife is now also dead and her family now have our house. I'm not bitter really!!!!!!!!!!!! I joined the Hunter clan to see if I can get on some trips up around there. Would love to explore around Big Rocky and get out around the islands. Been out there a couple of times before and love it

I haven't picked it up yet. Maybe next week depending on roster. I paddled it out into Broken Bay and still love it. Handles like a dream, especially on edge. The thing is, I have just developed a renewed respect for my Eco Bezhig. It is sooo good in a following sea I think I'll hang on to it as well.

Yes it is a guided trip, camping each night, with Clearwater Paddling which is based on Barra but offers several trips around the area.
We are hoping to see a good lot of wildlife and sunny weather but apparently the weather can change by the hour.
What did you wear paddling and did it work Ok( I think you said sharkskins but I dont remember)?
We are hoping to do a couple of day trips and a day training with a greenland paddle as well, but we havn't finalised details yet.
