As I'm still learning my skills and even going to the bar at swansea is an adventure going out to sea is not on for me yet but I keep myself entertained by the conversations and once I do my skills thing will join in. I get inspired by the places ...
Great photo Arn I wasn't aware the lake got that cold ;). I have most Mondays off so would be more than happy to catch up for a paddle before I leave town. You will get plenty of advice and comments from the klan, just beware of Owen trying to talk you into buying a Mirage.
Arn, I'm free on Thursday if you would like to meet up and maybe go for paddle. I could paddle over from Wangi to Coal Point. As for improving your skill etc; there's no substitute for practice.
G'day Arn, We are abount the same vintage (I've turned 63) and recently retired back to the Lake (grew up here then lived 30 plus years in Sydney). You could have easily seen me out in my purple Mirage, as I often paddle past Coal Point. How about you update your profile with your basic detail and photo. My wife (Annie) paddles a Mirage 530 and you could have a try in both our boats to see which suits you better.
G'day Arn and welcome aboard. Tell us a bit more about your good self; what do you paddle? are you a Science Teacher? etc.

About Me:
First the picture is me after a short paddle on the lake on a cold morning ( I struggled to find any other pictures of me). I have just moved to the Coal Point side of the lake and finally my old kayak got dragged out on a more regular basis in the last 3 months. I work part time as a GP and am 62. I'm looking forward to meeting the klan and am around for a paddle on Mondays and thursdays as well as the occasional weekend. At the moment I'm just trying to get my act together in the kayak and will appreciate all advice, comments on how to improve my skills.
